Clara Drummond
Clara Drummond, born in Edinburgh, studied Modern Languages at the University of Cambridge. After graduating Clara worked as an assistant to portrait painter Jonathan Yeo before studying at the Royal Drawing School in 2006. She was awarded the Bulldog Award by the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Young Artist of the Year award by the Society of Women Artists and has exhibited in the BP Portrait Award five times. Clara was awarded first prize in the BP Portrait Award 2016. Solo exhibitions include 'Drawings of Arctic Flora and Fauna' at Galeribox, Iceland, and 'Discoveries: Artist in Residence of Cambridge University' at Two Temple Place, London and 'The Unsung Muse' at The William Morris Society, London. Clara is currently working on a portrait commission for Her Majesty The Queen. Her book, 'Drawing and Seeing: Create your own sketchbook' was published by Kyle Books in September 2018.
